Biography
Marian Botchway is an Assistant Director of the Eck Institute for Global Health. She is responsible for training initiatives, coordinating the Institute’s undergraduate engagement activities, and managing internal Institute programs. Previously, Marian was a CDC Foundation Fellow within CDC’s Center for Global Health and a Technical Advisor, assigned by the Carter Center, to support the Guinea Worm Eradication Program in Ethiopia. Her research focuses on chronic diseases, nutrition, and the role that social networks play in shaping health outcomes. Marian has a BS in Biology from Washington and Lee University, an MPH from Emory University, and a PhD in Health Promotion, Education, and Behavior from the University of South Carolina.
